Transcendence: Relics from Sabertooth Microfest

The likelihood of attending a festival of captivating music back to back is slim to none….unless it’s Sabertooth Microfest. Saturday’s selection exhibited self-empowerment while offering an array of genre-bending artists.

Cat Hoch, local to Portland, endeared us all with deep-psych pop and offhand comments about her love of music, her band, and home.

Charmers Jay Som included the audience in on their inside jokes even if we’d never get it.

Michelle Zauner and supporting bandmates of Japanese Breakfast brought an everlasting energy and sweetness that buzzed for hours after.

The unassuming and thoughtful Parquet Courts left the audience comfortably shredded.

start a revolution.
