JW Francis is a music producer and writer living in New York City sharing dulcet melodies and uplifting messages. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Paris, France, JW Francis has dedicated his life to music by spending most of his time recording and writing about DIY artists. In addition to supporting the underground music scene, he recorded his debut album after a summer west coast tour.
One measure into his first release off the album, Lofi, presents an overwhelming likeness of some of JW’s largest influences- Mac Demarco, The Strokes, and Of Montreal. Moving through vulnerable and tender lyrics, JW exhibits a warm shift to bedroom pop. “Be good,” he echoes in between verses of twangy guitar strumming and rapid drumming. Listen below.
